Instalment cycle
The scheme pays one instalment in each four-month period: April–July, August–November and December–March. Exact release dates are announced by the government; check the official website for the latest release.
Who is eligible?
- Landholding farmer families with valid land records.
- Aadhaar details that match official records and an active, correctly linked bank account.
- Final eligibility is verified by the state or union territory government.
Who is not eligible?
Categories excluded under the scheme include institutional landholders, government employees (with limited exceptions), income-tax payers, pensioners receiving ₹10,000 or more a month, and professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers and chartered accountants. How to apply and check status
- Open the official website, pmkisan.gov.in, and choose “New Farmer Registration”.
- Complete Aadhaar authentication and enter personal, bank and land details.
- Complete eKYC (OTP on the portal, biometric at a Common Service Centre, or face authentication in the official app).
- Track your payment through “Know Your Status” on the portal.
The Harvest is not the PM-Kisan portal and does not process applications. Always use the official government website and never share OTPs or bank details with anyone claiming to help you register.
